Who We Are
The San Luis Obispo Blues Society provides our local community with exceptional blues shows.
We are the third oldest blues society in the USA.
The Society is a 501 (3)(c) non-profit.
We are all volunteers, united in our appreciation of quality blues music.

When and Where Do We Meet?
The Board meets about 6 times a year
Our meetings are scheduled within the boundaries of San Luis Obispo
Each board meeting lasts about 1 - 2 hours
BYOB. Pizza served.

Vice President
Our current VP, Chris Wilbert, is leaving for personal reasons, and we are all sad she’s leaving. Chris will continue to help us with the transition to a new VP, and will answer questions about this position.

Bar Manager
This position requires a “Responsible Beverage Server” (RBS) certificate.
If you’re interested in this important board position, and you do not have the RGB certificate, you can easily take the “ABC” course. When you pass the short exam, you will receive your RBS certification.
Cost is <$25.00, and the Blues Society will reimburse you.

Email Marketing and Social Media
This position requires a skilled graphic designer, with experience in email marketing and social media (Facebook AND Instagram).
Our social media graphics must complement the brand of each show.
We welcome a pro-active volunteer who understands social media marketing and can work independently.
